Diwali Cards

Diwali is said to be the celebration of light. Diwali is one of the major festivals of Hindus, Sikhs and Jains and is celebrated across India Diwali with great fervor. For the Hindus, Diwali is the day when Lord Rama had returned to Ayodhya after 14 years of hiatus. Diwali is an official holiday in India.

On the day of Diwali, Hindus will clean and decorate their houses with garlands and mango leaves and in the evening they will light up their entire house with oil lamps and candles. Elaborate rangolis are prepared at the entrance to welcome prosperity and ward off evil. Oblation is offered to the Goddess of wealth and prosperity, Laxmi and Lord Ganesha. Bursting of fire crackers is an integral part of Diwali celebration.

Diwali is a festival to welcome a new beginning and pray of prosperity and good health and hence, Diwali cards are full of positive messages and good wishes.
