With the advent of New Year’s, the time to celebrate and let the past go is here. As we bid farewell to the previous year and look forward to the one that is ahead of us, we promise to ourselves that we shall make changes, that will not only help us learn from our mistakes but also make us a better person in the future. 

So when making resolutions for the things that you want to do in the coming year, we have for you a list of 25 New Year resolutions that you can try, which are realistic and easy to keep up with, as they will help you incorporate changes in your lives that can help you grow in life and move forward.

  1. Incorporate a healthy meal plan; try to eat more food that is real and lesser things that are processed.
  2. Try to read more books, there is no better thing that reading perhaps, and for those who enjoy reading, you cannot simply have enough.
  3. Keep yourself organized; an organized person knows how to keep a track of everything so try to be that person.
  4. Try to spend some time doing some form of physical activity, even 20 minutes of walking will do.
  5.  Try watching lesser TV, or rather less of those entertainment programs which have no educational value
  6. Try to manage your budget, start saving and cut down on all the unnecessary expenditures.
  7. Try being more Eco-conscious and incorporate some Eco-friendly habits in your lifestyle.
  8. Organize your computer, take a small step, and you might become more organized hence.
  9. Try to be more involved in cultural activities, try visiting art exhibitions or plays etc.
  10. Try to volunteer for causes.
  11. Cut back on unhealthy eating habits, like sugar and the empty calories in drinks like cold-drinks etc.
  12. Try logging off social networking sites more often, and trying to experience real world than virtual.
  13. Try sleeping earlier, there is nothing better than a good night sleep that gets you feeling all refreshed the next day and ready to work.
  14. Give elaborate cooking a try, at least once a week, not only are you honing your cooking skills also its delicious.
  15. Clean out your closet finally, sort out that pile of clothes that you do not use anymore, and then donate them to the needy, and of course the clutter could use some organizing.
  16. Keep in touch with your loved ones, it is easy to get caught up in the fast paced lives that we lead these days, but take out time for the people you really care about.
  17. Kick back that gossiping habit, live and let live.
  18. Drink more water, one cannot emphasize on the importance of drinking enough water.
  19. Try to note down your thoughts, try to begin writing a journal entry that chronicles the important events in your life.
  20. Reduce the amount of alcohol you consume.
  21. Give a try to spiritual things.
  22. Try to go offline when you go off to sleep, it is one healthy thing to do.
  23. Give back to the community; try to do a good deed once in a while.
